My wife and I visit the David Koch building frequently for my wife’s continuing medical treatments. The lobby is a grand space with lots of chairs and a self check-in area. Plenty of staff to help you. Her doctors office is on the 4th floor. We usually also go to the second floor where they have a very nice coffee stand with sweets and a cafe with hot and cold food. Tons of nice seating to eat or just hang out and relax. Coffee is delicious. Nice but limited breakfast buffet and a made to order omelet station. Very enjoyable. Back again on January 15 for afternoon DR appt. Then we went to have caffe at the cafe on 2nd floor but it was closed. So we got coffee and a pastry at the Starbucks branded coffee stand just after you exit the elevator. Very friendly staff. Tasty pastry and good co

Facility is nice and new, but I have never waited less than 40 minutes to be seen for an appointment that I have been ON TIME for (pregnancy scans). I’m writing this after arriving for an appointment an hour ago… I have never met with a doctor who has provided more feedback than “everything looks good, any questions?” The prenatal care is so bare minimum. I had my first baby at Lenox Hill up the street, and received much more thorough prenatal care. Further, people at the front desk (on 12th floor) have never been very helpful or friendly. This location is always packed.

I had a very upsetting experience today at the front desk during my recent visit. The receptionist I interacted with was abrupt, dismissive, and spoke in a tone that added unnecessary stress to an already emotional situation. We do not come to hospitals casually. We are often there because we are worried, scared, and waiting for news about a dear family member. In moments like that, kindness and basic respect matter more than ever. The front desk is the face of the hospital and it should be a place of professionalism and empathy, not another source of anxiety. I hope hospital leadership takes this feedback seriously and ensures that front-desk staff are trained to meet patients with compassion, not hostility.

Read all the negative reviews. The lobby is uninviting--especially when you are checking in for major procedure or have other important health issues going on. Who needs go through process that makes you do all the work and seems to be modeled on airline check-in? Doesn't the hospital want to treat its (paying) patients as humans? Or are we data entry clerks? I had to figure all of this out in a weakened state as I was arriving for colonoscopy. During another visit, I had to help a friend who was very ill figure it out. Don't put your patients through this! There are many employees there, ostensibly to help you navigate the process, but many are busy carrying on personal conversations. However, there are a few who will walk over to you if they see you struggling.

Came here to have a minor procedure and left with zero complaints! Everyone there was really kind from the moment I walked in to the second I left. The nurses and doctors were very communicative and were only there for 4 hours! It was also a pretty facility! Really amazing and highly recommend to anyone needing abdominal surgery.
