Newport Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center

My husband was at Newport Post Acute and Rehab for rehabilitation after a femur fracture and repair,as well as a bruised kidney. He received the best of nursing care, physical and occupational therapy, as well as good nutrition. He had a stimulating environment and friendly staff. The facility was always clean and his sheets were changed. If it had not been for one of the nurses who closely followed his care by monitoring his kidney and insisting on several ER trips which lead to serious surgery, he may have died. I highly recommend this facility.

My loved one has been a patient in this facility for a while, and I must say that I have never had to worry about my loved one. The staff always made sure she had the best experience and items she wanted and needed, even when I was unable to visit. The facilities nursing staff, medical providers, therapy department all made sure my loved one felt loved and always welcomed us with kindness when we were able to visit.

This is the worst place anyone could ever send another human being to. It’s ruin down. Smell, nothing works not enough equipment, nurses NEVER answer calls for there rooms, food is disgusting. The nurses never check on patients to see if they are ok, have eaten, moved, cleaned, they rinse the potty chairs out in the sink that use personally. They leave dirty rag, blankets, diapers towels laying around everywhere. They often got your food trays next day. Toilet was not bolted to the floor. The toilet seat was broken and for the care that my parent needed she could not even have got to sit on that toilet without falling. Their care is just horrendous. They didn’t care about what was wrong with the patient. They just did what they were trying to do as far as doing what they had on there co

my father was a patient there and I am happy with the care he received. If anyone needs therapy or long term services I recommend this place 100%. If he needs care down the road he will be returning to this facility. The staff was loving and kind and on top of the care he needed.

I am extremely dissatisfied at present. My mother, Penny Moebus, was a resident at Newport Post Acute Rehabilitation Center for nearly a month. During her stay, the facility failed to change her bedding. She was only provided with one shower and one sponge bath. Furthermore, the evening staff consistently belittled her whenever she utilized her call button. The sole CNA who demonstrated compassion and care was Kayla. Despite not being physically ready for discharge, my mother returned home today due to feeling neglected and disrespected during her stay.
