Had and MRI with contrast today, it had been delayed due to a computer malfuction but they still were able to get me in once the conputer was working. I was highly HIGHLY anxious and the MRI team and nurses were excellent and extremely accommodating, doing everything within their power to get me through the scan and get all the imaging done today. They allowed a support person in with me once they screen them for safety. I got to go in feet first and keep my head slightly out, which helped so much with the claustrophobia.. They communicated very well with me throughout the whole process and answered all of my questions and addressed all of my fears. I truly appreciate all of the staff that helped me through a nerve wracking experience and didn't male me feel embarrassed for being so nervou

I've been to this hospital several times now. I've had a few visits where I was convinced they did not care one bit about me. But in June 2025 I arrived with chest and arm pain... I was having a cardiac event and I wasn't sure they believed me. The tests came back and then the care changed, I was transferred to Sacred Heart and recovered. Well last Sunday I was in their establishment once again. This time was different, the care and immediate attention I received was amazing. The same gentleman that helped me in June attended to me. I reminded him that he was the one that helped me in June. What I never said was thank you. Thank you for listening and helping me when I was scared and hurting. I appreciate you.

NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!! E.R. doctors DO BETTER!!Two horrible experiences 20 years apart and that is the only 2 times i have been there. The doctors they hire are very condescending and treat you like you are making it all up. I don't go to the hospital very often only when absolutely needed but they treat you like you come in all the time for no good reason. Both doctors both times literally rolled their eyes at me and the latest one was just about laughing in my face. DR.GILL. That doctor even made a very rude comment to the person that drove me there. Even my personal doctor, not at that hospital, said" yeah don't go there". I would rather drive 50 miles to Spokane to some good, knowledgeable doctors than get treated like your just a pain in their butt and wasting their time. DONT GO

Got triaged right away. Everyone was professional, friendly and thorough. Doctor was busy, still made sure I was comfortable and informed. Overall (for an E.R.), it got quite busy and I was comfortable and well taken care of. The discharge instructions are thorough, very helpful and informative.

You should only be able to leave a review and “recommend” or “not recommend” Newport Hospital if you live locally. The hospital favors tourists during tourists season and looks down upon local people with distain. You can hear them gossiping about the local people at the nurses station. Some specific examples include calling them alcoholics(“that guy is an alcoholic, his family can’t stand him”), referencing their frequency to the hospital as a hypochondriac(dismissing valid medical concerns), talking down about the local homeless(“if you feed him he’ll keep coming back”), and providing less care to those who need a shower(not taking vitals every hour and never checked in on him).
