Nash Rehabilitation & Nursing

My brother is currently a patient in the rehabilitation center there……I’m way across the country in Oregon. I’m heading to NC within the week. In the meantime I feel my brother will be receiving great care while he is there. I spoke to the nicest nurse named Tracy H today. She was very helpful and very very nice. She told me all about the rehab there. I appreciated her kindness and help. ♥️

The Carrolton rehab facility makes a wonderful effort to engage both long-term residents and those staying for short-term rehab. During my visit, the activities director gave me a tour, and it was clear she is excellent at her job. She had a great rapport with the residents and created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The activities and level of engagement truly gave the facility a strong sense of community, which is so important for residents and their families.

This is now called The Carrolton of Nash. The place is old and there's a lot of neglected preventive maintenance. The housekeeping is very ineffective. The over bed tables aren't wiped down just look at the frame. It is nasty and I wonder what the bacteria count is. The trash cans are very dirty too. They should be on a scheduled cleaning. The inside of the cans are gross. When one of the housekeeping staff were asked to clean it she got an attitude and said why should she do it because they (patient/family) did it. Also a severe lack of linen, many sheets have holes, the bath towels look like kitchen dish towels and are sandpaper rough. My Mother was discharged to this place for short-term rehabilitation. First, the smell when you walked in told that sanitation was not of the utmost importance to the facility. I am perplexed in how Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses put their license in jeopardy as their practices are unethical. Within 12 hours of leaving my Mother in the facility, she reported that her arm was hurting. No one took initiative to assess the situation. I had to find a nurse to complain. I was then told that an X-ray would be taken. My mother reported to the family that a worker was mean to her. This was reported and supposedly a grievance was filed. Nothing came of this. My mother who has major chronic illnesses was made to sit in a wheel chair practically for 2 days. She began to swell in her

My stepdad, just there not 24 hours, workers are mean. Rooms are old, furniture has holes in them. Soon as you walk in the facilities in the back, it smells like urine.
