Nash General Hospital

I had a very unpleasant experience with an LPN named Edith at Nash General Hospital. She was extremely rude to me and gave me a very nasty facial expression during our interaction, which immediately made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. After I asked one of her coworkers what her name was, Edith went out of her way to come and find me again. She then stood at the door and peeked in just to give me another hostile, “stank” look. This behavior was completely unnecessary, unprofessional, and inappropriate—especially in a healthcare setting where patients and visitors should feel safe and respected. No one deserves to be treated this way, and I hope management addresses this issue seriously. Professionalism and basic courtesy should be standard, especially in a hospital.

My father was transferred here last month and placed in the cardiac ICU. The staff at Nash General was amazing with him. They were very thorough in examining him before admitting him there. They took a lot of detailed notes about everything that was going on. Even though he was in a medically induced coma they treated him like they would if he was awake. They spoke to him and told him why they were doing and comforted him when they could tell he was agitated. They checked on him frequently and made any necessary adjustments. When it was ultimately time to remove him from life support they were so kind and supportive. It made it just a little bit easier. They gave us a keepsake with his final heartbeat that I will cherish forever.

The emergency room was efficient and very clean. Staff were pleasant. The nurses on the 4th floor, east wing, were exceptional. Attentive, personable, quick to answer calls, and always showing real concern. The staff in the heart cath lab were also top notch. They make sure the patient and family are all supported to the best of their ability.

I’m going to be extremely direct because my family deserves the truth to be heard. My uncle went to Nash General Hospital for help, and instead of receiving real medical care, he was given medication that requires close monitoring — and then they left him completely unattended. At Nash General, he was supposed to be checked on. He was supposed to be watched. He was supposed to be SAFE in a hospital. But they walked away from him and didn’t come back for almost an hour. When they finally decided to check, my uncle had NO pulse. Imagine that — your loved one lying in a hospital room at Nash General Hospital, unmonitored, and by the time someone looks in, he’s pulseless. They had to do CPR to bring him back, but the brain damage was already done. Now he is brain dead, unable to breathe on

All services absolutely GREAT 👍🏽👍🏽 attentive professional & focused...... Once in the waiting area a where a RN named Nicole was curt and dismissive in a brush you off type of way. I asked a question about how she was testing my son's B/P RN stated that the emergency room doesn't have the luxury of time, so she could not wait 5 to 10 minutes between to check his B/P properly
