Mt Pleasant Animal Control

I live in a very rural community. And even though Kitty Kove is 30 miles away, the woman responded immediately and helped me with the stray cats that I had. They were kittens that we were taking care of, and we loved them, But we already had three cats. A woman that runs it helped me immediately and even sent me pictures when the babies got adopted. It was a pretty awesome experience and I am grateful that there are people still like that.

I go there almost daily to try and help. I see the work they do! When animal "shelters" get crowded, disease & illness spreads quickly, and animals die. I go there as a volunteer, and in an effort to educate "by example". When an owner spays or neuters a pet, it in turn, prevents more unwanted pets from being born. A great pet owner takes full responsibility & liability for having the pet, and for any future babies the pet produces. Responsible pet owners don't let their pets reproduce without thinking about pet's impact on society and the number of unwanted litters born as a result of negligence. Terrible experience. Love my pet however…I will never return to this agency.

One guy there was a very helpful, big guy African American. He walked around and talked to me about all the dogs there. He told me to think about it and come back he didn't want to force a dog that I didn't want. They charge when you bring a dog back. It cost 73. Or 98. To adopt a bog. They have dogs there as old as 3 years out. Likely, they will have to send him somewhere if not adopted or put down.

This place is all around a bed experience. They have no vet on site. They do not give shots. Picked up a puppy on Friday, and the dog was sick ever since. To return the dog because of their lack of care it's another fee. Do not go here. Find a better place!!!
