We had to make the incredibly painful decision to say goodbye to our beloved cat, Ziggy, and I truly don’t know how we would have gotten through that night without Dr. Palmer, and the staff. From the moment she walked in, she treated Ziggy with such gentleness, dignity, and compassion. Ziggy was more than a pet — he was family — and she honored that in the way she spoke to us, handled him, and gave us the time we needed. She never made us feel rushed, answered every question with patience, and explained the process in a way that brought comfort during one of the hardest moments of our lives. Last week my parents brought in my beloved Oreo. Unfortunately, discovered there was nothing that could be done and so I was brought in to say goodbye. Thank you to Dr. Mitchell and his kind and sensitive words he shared with me as me and my parents said goodbye to my most beloved companion. Him telling me that he could tell how loved Oreo is and how it was evident he loved me by how much he had calmed down when I arrived to say my goodbyes. Also thank you to the other staff and how genuinely kind you all were on probably the worst day of my life. Thank you for how much care you gave to my boy in his last moments. No one wants to hear the devastating news that their beloved family pet has a terminal condition and not much time left, especially if the news is unexpected, but even though that is what happened with us and our sweet dog Cooper a few days ago, we're so glad that we took him to Mountain View because we know his last bit of life was handled with compassion and dignity, and he was made as comfortable as possible. Every single employee we encountered was kind and helpful. The doctor was so wonderful at explaining exactly what was happening and giving us the options – the best and most humane option was sadly to euthanize, but we greatly appreciate how everything was handled. I highly recommend - 6 stars if I could. My 10 year dog, Blue, all of a sudden could barely stand, let alone walk and I noticed bloating in his stomach. I looked online for an emergency vet near me and Mountain View Animal Emergency was one of the top posts - not for how close it was but because of the reviews. When I called they answered quickly, asked some questions, and told me to bring him in. Based on what I told them they said that once I arrived (because of the symptoms) they would come out with a stretcher to bring him in so I didn’t have to carry my large dog in because he couldn’t walk. Our 4 month old kitten experienced a terrible crash in the middle of his zoomies. He was in severe pain so we took him to Mountain View. It was late and they were busy but still provided the best and most attentive service. From the moment we were greeted in reception to the woman who patiently explained the discharge paperwork and medicines we were going home with, everyone made us comfortable and never forgotten in their busy schedules. The vet tech was so kind and caring. And Dr Mitchell was the best. We felt like Jack was in good hands and the entire staff did their best to make this bad situation better. Little Jack is doing well with his cast on and I think he'll have a great future thanks to the care he received.
