Mount St. Rita Health Centre

My Mom was a resident here for several weeks, she received excellent care. The staff was wonderful, taking time to have bedtime tea with her, she is very picky and would definitely come back if she needs nursing home care. The most caring and dedicated staff I've seen in a long time. Very clean facility, she loved her private room. Staff came around everyday to find out what she liked/wanted to eat. Visitation was by appointment but I understand, I would rather know she safe from Covid and our family facetimed her everyday.

Mount St. Rita Health Centre is a beautiful facility with caring and compassionate staff. If you are considering respite, or are searching for long term care, MSR will place your loved one first.

My mother was admitted to rehab section of MSR in March of 2022. She was cared for exceptionally well by 2 of the nurses on the floor. We felt safe leaving her there bc they treated her like family. They were her & our families angels. In April of 2022 she moved to the LTC section & the quality of care & compassion were night & day. If your loved one is unable to care for themselves (dress, eat, get out of bed, use bathroom on own) I would highly discourage you from MSR.

My mom currently resides at MSR and I can't say enough about how much I appreciate all the compassion, professional and loving care that she receives at the facility. She is a very difficult person is deal with and the staff take exceptional care of her and have hearts of gold. I couldn't recommend a better facility for her. I live out-of-state and can't see her due to the distance. I feel comfortable and at peace with her there.

My sons father was there for months. The place is understaffed and those who are there aren’t very good. In fact, we had to complain about one aide who was excessively rough. Many don’t speak or understand English well. He was left basically to sit in a wheelchair or in bed unless someone from the family came. Things tend to go missing too!!!! He has since come home missing several items of clothing. He is diabetic and proper steps were not taken to treat the wound on his heel. Very poor quality of care.
