Make sure you force the receptionist to check over your information in the system accurately. The older receptionist at check in with a heavy accent attempted to turn me away claiming i did not have insurance. I told her i kno i have insurance. But she insisted i didnt. Upon calling my insurance (which is also usually done by receptionist which she refused to do) they confirmed i had insurance but she refused to look in the system PROPERLY. Upon me insisting she check the system better she claimed there was nothing she could do bc my appt time had passed. I continued to insist that she revise the system because that was not my fault. She then started to claim the insurance updated it in the system while i was on the phone with them to cover up that SHE in fact did NOT do her job effectivel

I have come to this practice for years and seen Dr. Ginsberg. I am a WTC first responder. Over the years the front reception people have gotten worse and worse in this office. Rude, nasty, uncooperative and obviously very unhappy women. I’ve been turned away for an on time appointment for various inter office mistakes and the people there are just unwilling to help or understand. Horrible people in the front. But you have to get through them to see the good people behind the scenes.. Horrible treatment for a 9/11 hero who deserves better.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with billing at this office has been frustrating. I saw a doctor here in early 2023 and recently received a surprise bill, over two years after the appointment.The doctor no longer works at this practice and I haven't seen her in years. I have a receipt showing that I paid the copay at the time of my appointment back in 2023. Apparently, that doctor never submitted a claim through my insurance. Years later, Mount Sinai submitted a claim to my insurance instead, thus charging me another copay (which they're referring to as a "facility fee") and claiming that I did not pay the original one. I should not have paid more than the copay I'm required to pay by insurance. I have no way to find that doctor, and even if I convinced her to submit th

We regretted coming to this emergency room immediately. There are so many better options for healthcare in NYC and we chose wrong. This level of negligence should be seen as a problem but it's clear this is standard procedure.

If you can go anywhere else, do it. They have always been quite rushed and abrupt- they are clearly very over-scheduled. I have dealt with this in the past here, and honestly just let it go because I don’t have any major eye issues, and I really just needed someone to check my prescription. However, on this last visit, the “rush” to get me through amounted to several mistakes being made in my care. I say “rush” because even though they are rude and abrupt and talk to you VERY fast, I was still there for over two hours.
