Mount Sinai Miami Shores

The nurses were wonderful—truly the only positive part of my visit. I had a 2:00 PM appointment, arrived early, and wasn’t seen until 2:40. I was only there to get a referral so I could continue my infusion treatment for ulcerative colitis and rheumatoid arthritis. The visit lasted about five minutes, could’ve been handled over the phone, yet I still waited over 30 minutes and paid a $50 copay. There was no apology, and I felt the Dr. Rubal wasn’t fully listening. The worst part was an interaction with an older front desk staff member who was dismissive, talked over me, and had a clear attitude when I simply asked for clarification about faxing my referral—something I was told could be done. As always my experience with Dr. Fuentes was very satisfactory. He is professional, patient, knowledgeable and kind. He went through my medical history on detail and ended up recommending a change on my blood pressure medication which I ‘ve started taking since a couple of days ago.

I had high hopes for my visit to Mount Sinai Miami Shores, thinking it would be a centralized space where my doctors could easily share information and provide a cohesive experience. Unfortunately, it’s been the opposite. My doctor was transactional, with little effort to follow up considering my immediate needs. Communication was severely lacking—important updates and referrals were not shared directly with me but in some internal email system, leaving me out of the loop about next steps. After taking the time out to place multiple calls asking for the doctor to call me, I finally received a follow-up weeks later. Unfortunately, the entire experience has been unprofessional, frustrating, and far from what I expected from Mount Sinai.

Everyone was very pleasant. Ms. Viera took very good care of me as did Dr. Bangalore. It was my first time at their office , but I was well taken care of and will feel comfortable to return in the future.

My experience with Dr Fuentes office was great. He’s one of the best and my favorite doctor, I always loved Mount Sinai. It’s a great place to be treated with just the right doctors.
