Mount Sinai Doctors - West 8th Street

Malpractice and Fraudulent billing describe this location. In April 2025, I had a routine blood draw by their phlebotomist that resulted in nerve damage to my left arm. For two months, I experienced severe pain whenever I tried to stretch or extend my arm. It caused constant discomfort in my everyday life, where I was unable to work out, and even simple movements triggered sharp pain. The reason why I didn't complain was because I never had this experience before in my life, and I was utterly confused. However, I did remember that during the blood extraction, I felt pain that I never felt before in my life. I should have thought better, but what came after makes things even worse. Some of the rudest front desk staff, three of the times I’ve called just requesting an appointment they don’t know what they’re doing asked me for all my information and then said something along the lines “I dont know what you are asking me” and when I try to explain are being rude to me and basically not wanting to help. They also didn’t know how to check my chart. Dr. Ravengard is really great though but I cant even get an appointment with her. updating from 1 star because the person I talked to last was very friendly and helped me out, and I appreciate the response from the hospital and all the other staff has been very kind so maybe it was a one off

Well the clinic was clean and front desk was helpful and professional but the reason I gave a one star is because of the Dr . Mark Gray. I just didn't feel comfortable with him felt dismissed and I just knew it wouldn't not work out. I felt that I would not get the best care just seemed to lack kindness and compassion which I need as a patient. I had to leave I didn't even want him to do my pap smear. No way. Drs need to train more in compassion and kindness. It's hard to fined Dr's that really care for their patients. It's like they like to belittle patients I guess it make them feel more important or something. It was waste of my time.

Rude and dismissive front desk staff on the phone. Took multiple calls to the front desk to cancel an appointment. Just save yourself the trouble and use the automated system to cancel. Did not notify me when I made the appointment that my insurer, BCBS, and Mt Sinai were terminating their in network relationship at the start of 2026. Mt Sinai waited until New Year's Eve to make the disclosure that what should have been an in network annual physical covered by insurance would now cost $300 out of network.

Dr. Gray is one of the best doctors I’ve visited in the Manhattan area. Whenever I’m having an issue, he is a doctor whom medical advice I trust. I’ve been misguided and prescribed wrong medication by a previous doctor, so the detailed and thoroughness that Dr. Gray displays is comforting. He always backs his observational assumptions with facts and testing and keeps you informed as to how or why and even provides solutions. You also are seen at your appointment time; no long waits. Thanks Dr. Gray for being patient with your patients.
