Montcare Potomac

MontCare Potomac: We were very dissatisfied with this facility.  My mother was placed here for about one month in 2024.  The furniture was quite old and dilapidated -- think busted drawers and broken handles on cabinets. We worried about our mother’s safety as dementia patients were allowed to wander in and out of her room. We were required to direct these dementia patients out of her room.  The nursing station, although nearby, was understaffed and was unable to monitor patient rooms.    Our mother contracted COVID-19 at this facility and when we complained to management about the strong likelihood that she got it from dementia patients wandering into her room, our concerns were dismissed outright.  We were told that, “it could have been one of the nurses”.  When we countered that by st

The intake was so refreshing and staffing and willing to help even if it wasn’t their patient. Great 1st visit experience. I am happy mom will be taken care of here!!! Feeling very blessed!

I was transferred to Montcare Potomac after a long hospital stay. Couldn’t have gone to a better rehab facility. The entire staff from the Administrator, Admissions Director to nursing and PT/Rehab professionals and even the cleaning staff were professional and caring but also friendly. The above made my month long recovery a success. Highly recommend Montcare Potomac if you need their services .

Friendly staff gave us a warm welcome, clear direction to the room, helpful to my family member, who confessed that she love it there. My family member's roommate requested assistance that came quickly w/o a fuss or attitude, rather with a smile

As a healthcare provider, I was visiting an old friend/client who has developed increased dementia. I observed an Aide and Nurse treating my old friend well, with respect and care.
