Dr. Monica Schwartzman is a remarkable doctor possessing a gentle touch and demeanor. She is thoughtful, precise, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Her method is scientific and holistic— such an unusual combination! That is, she views her patients as whole individuals. She carefully deliberated with all my doctors before she made her diagnosis. I feel like I am her only patient - and a friend. She is quick to respond to any and all of my questions and needs. Her office staff is a happy staff— that alone tells you all you need to know about the 72nd Street Medical Associates team. I recommend them highly!

I came to Dr. Monica Schwartzman MD, MS after several docs could not figure out why I had such unusual inflammation, especially when I am normally such a healthy person. I am still amazed at the level of care I received (and am still receiving). Dr. Schwartzman spent a great deal of time with me during every in-person visit and responded to my calls the same day. She did a great amount of testing and detective work to find a treatment that worked for me, my lifestyle and my odd sensitivities to most meds. It's been a year now and I am almost completely done with needing my medication. She really listened to my concerns and respected what I felt was right for me. I can't recommend anyone more highly. I walked into her office with two, sudden onset autoimmune diseases, one of which required urgent/emergency attention. She was extremely thorough in her examination of me and accurately diagnosed my conditions. In lightening speed, she was able to coordinate testing at multiple facilities and connect me with other outstanding practitioners to address all angles of my disorders. Time for treatment was of the essence. She clearly explained all aspects of my disease, analyzed the results of my tests, and answered all of my questions in detail. She acted decisively with a clear understanding of my condition and the medications needed to prevent severe complication
