MinuteClinic at CVS

I went there for my flu and COVID vaccines. My insurance info was provided online before making an appointment. DO NOT GO THERE FOR VACCINES! I thought I was going to the pharmacy. I’ve never had an issue with billing for vaccines. They invoiced me for preservative-free formulation which is not covered by my insurance. My EOB shows that I owe $0, but Minute Clinic is telling me I’m responsible. I have spent HOURS on the phone. I called my insurance, and they called Minute Clinic for me; she and I were on the phone over an hour together. She escalated to higher level supervisors multiple times on the call. In the end, she said that she was told “it was my responsibility to know I should have used the pharmacy and not Minute Clinic”. ??? She was going to resend my EOB, and told me

All I needed was some antibiotics for and my eye. The process was quick and easy. I got right in and received the prescription. Thank you so much!!

The front desk Minute Clinic staff member was extremely rude to me and several other patrons upon my visit. She gave me the name "GiGi" but I believe it may be Gisela as she was hesitant to give it to me after I asked her for her full name. She was working at the check-in area at 8:30am on Tuesday 24 November of the Minute Clinic gave myself and others serious attitude like she was angry she even had to work there. I waited while she finished texting on her phone and never greeted with a "Good Morning" or simple "How can I help you?". She never even asked me for any details about my medical situation. Very poor customer service and unwelcoming staff member working the front check-in who should be fired. There are plenty of folks who would love to have her job and do it with a good attitude

I made an appointment today for 12:40. I showed up at 12:47 due to traffic. I went to the screen to finish check in. I noticed immediately that both doors said “closed”. I thought that was weird but continued checking in. When I was at the end to finish check in, the screen froze. I walked over to the pharmacy to ask if they knew why the doors said “closed” and that the screen froze on me so I wanted to make sure someone knew I was here. A few minutes later, the pharmacist said that she thinks the practitioner was at lunch and should be back in 30 minutes. At this point it was 12:50. I went to the front to ask the employees if they knew why the doors say closed. They walked to the back with me and knocked on the door.
