I simply cannot express the positive experience my dad and I had with Dr. Kent on 4/16/25 Mercy Hospital Janesville. Dr Kent came to see me immediately after my elderly father's procedure. He then came and talked to my dad directly explaining his findings and suspicions. What a kind gentleman! He was clear concise, thorough, and his presence is just comforting. He made sure we understood clearly the info he gave us and that our questions were thoroughly addressed. He personally followed up with biopsy results. He has a huge and compassionate heart and l could not be more impressed by Dr. Kent and the level of safety comfort, and trust we have in him! Not all Physicians have the bedside manner that he does. I’m so very grateful to have found such an incredible surgeon. He listens to your needs. He’s compassionate with much understanding. His techniques are flawless. Couldn’t find the scar from a lumpectomy. He was excellent during my mastectomy. Knowledgeable and compassionate. His nurse Mary Jo is a bright light. Makes you feel comfortable and informs you every step of the way. I’m so very grateful.

This review deserves 0 stars. Dr Kent did gall bladder removal surgery on me November 12, 2024. This is a routine surgery, but instead, I left the hospital sick and continued to get worse over the couple several days. I called the office and went in to see the nurse (Dr Kent had left for vacation in Mexico, which is a terrible mistake I made when I scheduled. I should have asked if he would be available post op in case of issues). The nurse, Jennifer I believe, examined my belly and the pain I was experiencing. I was dismissed, told I was fine and was given a belly band to wear. Mind you, I was minutes from the hospital, and I feel I could have gone for a scan that day and skipped the next many days of misery. I tried to wear the belly band but could not stand the pain. On 9/26/2023 Michael Kent sent me home to die after a surgery. I explained to him that I still had pain, and a very dark purple underbelly, He accused me of drug abusing and sent me home. Three days later, I fell septic Because I had a Bowel obstruction Due to him perforating My large intestine. All of my excrement was in my blood, and All of my organs began to fail. I luckily called the ambulance to come get me from My Home. Otherwise, I would've died at home. Please don't go to him for your surgery. He is the most arrogant surgeon I have ever met in my life. Because of him, I have myopathy I was paralyzed for four months And, I had to learn how to breathe again, because I had a Feeding tube and a trach ive been in therapy for about a year and a half.Trying to get my strength back.
