Miami Shores Nursing & Rehab

Review: This nursing home has been a nightmare for my father and me. His clothes constantly go missing—sometimes other residents wear them, and many are never found. They lost his glasses, which were never replaced even after five months. He often missed medical appointments, and his laundry was rarely done, leaving him confined to his room despite his mental health struggles. My father fell out of bed multiple times, even though he can’t walk, and had to be hospitalized. The weekend staff, including the head nurses, are unprofessional, rude, and show no care for residents. Complaints to supervisors, meetings with management, and even calls to HRS led to no real changes. While some staff like the head doctor and caseworker try to help, nothing ever gets resolved. My father is 99 y/o and in the last years he has been loosing his mind with a moderate Alzheimer. He has been acting weird since and we took him to this center for proper rehabilitation and care. We , his family, appreciate the way he was treated in Miami Shores Nursing and Rehab. The place is always clean, the personnel is very friendly and professional; he was feeling like home. This place is HELL!!! My grandmother wasn't making a bowl movement in 2 months and they never knew. She died and they didn't let us know until days later. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Run as fast as you can.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all the staff at the Nursing Home during my mother-in-law's stay, who made her recovery so quick and pleasant during her stay, specially Mrs. Fanny Rubi who coordinated the transfer from the hospital and during the discharge.
