Metropolitan Drugs

This is absolutely the worst mom and pop pharmacy that’s supposed to serve the residents which is compromised of a many elderly in Upper East Side/East Harlem. I support small businesses because normally those that do survive the competition of Duane Reade or CVS do right by their community and provide exceptional customer service. This pharmacy, Metropolitan Drugs will disappoint and fail at any opportunity to not deliver on even providing subpar level of customer service. You get incompetence. In fact, that’s exactly what they strive for every day, how to exhibit to highest and most best level of incompetence. My husband spent the whole day trying to get ONE prescription transferred to a CVS because Metropolitan Drugs failed to let us know that they wouldn’t have a frequently prescrib

The pharmacist is disrespectful. I was just calling to see if they had an adhd medication in stock. My doctor told me to call around and ask to see if any pharmacies have the medication in stock because there is a national shortage. And I had to be prescribed another medication for the time being until my next appointment. Pharmacist starts getting nasty with me saying he cant tell me. That he has to speak to my doctor. I said sir I just called 10 other pharmacies and they told me they are out. He yelled I CANT TELL YOU THAT I NEED TO SPEAK TO A PRESCRIBER, WE DONT HAVE IT BYE. And hung up the phone on me. Very unprofessional! Smh

Although Ive never walked in to the store, I usually just call in and get my prescription delivered. The lady on the phone is so sweet and just the nicest! One time the pharmacy didn’t have my medicine, she looked for pharmacies nearby by herself and called me to let me know where to get them from. I don’t expect such above and beyond kindness from anyone. I’m glad to be a customer of this pharmacy.

The second time I picked up my RX, they were 10 pills short, they were supposed to have the pills delivered- Never heard anything back and I forgot about them. Third time I picked up, I was 5 pills short. They never answer the phone- when I did get in touch with them, they are not able to help. Horrible Customer Services- Will NEVA use them again. They are only getting one star b/c I have to rate.
