Avoid the Mercy Urgent Care-Creve Couer location if you want accurate results or appropriate follow-up! On January 22, I visited this location and got tested for COVID, FLU, and Strep. I was verbally told that all three tests were negative. As a caregiver and an educator, I relied on that information so that I could avoid exposing other vulnerable people to my illness. Later, I learned through my primary care physician that I had, in fact, tested positive for COVID from that visit. Because I was verbally told my results were negative, I unknowingly exposed others when I returned to work the next day, including my students and elderly, post-operative mother who is medically vulnerable. The staff was extremely friendly. I was disappointed with the wait time. The name Urgent care would imply you can be seen immediately. I have been having random and most recently, frequent facial swelling lasting for days. It is not allergy related and most likely a new symptom of my autoimmune disease. In order to determine what the cause is a blood needs to be drawn and taken within a few hours of symptom onset. I went in at 8 am, 1st thing in the morning, and was told I couldn't be seen for another 2.5 hours! That is not Urgent. Also, blood tests were never ordered and deemed unnecessary and all I was given was a pack of steroids which, I told them I had already tried along with antihistamines the last time and it did nothing for the swelling. All I wanted was blood work done/ordered.

Do not use this service. I went in for a lingering cough from a previouse cold because my doctor's office was booked. I had tested for covid a couple weeks prior and was negative but the nurse insisted I get another covid test. I had no fever or other symptoms other than cough. The doctor came in and said I was fine and no lung issues but sinus issues from the St. Louis up and down weather. She said to use a saline solution and Zyrtec, which I told her I already had. She then writes me a script to pick up, which turns out to be something that dried out my nose, not saline, and Zyrtec by a different name that I already had. Waste of money. Then I get the bill and they are charging me not just for a covid test, but flu test all for $200. I never gave any permission for them to run flu tests

Best urgent care! Sign up online - easy check in. Clean and spacious waiting area. They’re prompt with the intake and the doc or NP comes right away! Troy was awesome and thorough with his diagnosis and treatment. Very educational and good bedside manners! He loves questions too and didn’t make me feel dumb for asking. He has such great energy. Best urgent care I’ve ever been to!

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Dr. Hansen at this Mercy Urgent Care. He was thorough with his examination and saved me from a ruptured gallbladder with his accurate diagnosis. It wouldn’t have crossed my mind that my symptoms would ever correspond with an angry gallbladder. It would’ve been passed off, I’m sure, as indigestion or acid reflex by anyone else.
