This team was awesome during my process. If you are seriously considering this, please take the time to read. I had a gastric sleeve surgery without bypass. This surgery is by no means a "quick fix" for weight loss. It is a tool which will greatly assist in your journey IF you adhere to the advice given by these health care professionals. Before surgery, I was eating over a pound of food per meal, and it was food like pizza, burgers with tots/fries, breaded chicken strips, 24-32 oz of soda per day, and a lot of eating out. Now I eat anywhere from 4-6 ounces per meal and it's mainly protein, limiting carbs to no more than 50 per day. Protein is very important after surgery. Be prepared for that. Do research on nutrition post op. Their nutritionist will help get you started. For me, going in

Ok, let me just say, this is a scary experience in general but Dr Perna is great. I wouldn’t have let any other surgeon operate on me. Game changer even for someone who was always a proud plus size. The staff is warm and made the experience seem like something I could actually do. Two friends of mine went through this around the same time and the one who used this clinic had the same experience. Don’t talk to their office “manager” though. Bless Michelle’s heart. She is rude and has no clue, so I’m donating one star in her name to the learn-some-etiquette-girl-foundation. Otherwise I love the results (my figure and my health) and the staff. They’ll take care of you. Plus, clothes shopping once you complete the transformation makes it worth it all by itself, right? 🥰

I had surgery in February of 2020. I have had severe issues with nausea and vomiting ever since. Dr Perna and his team do not take problems seriously and do not try to help. His favorite response is “I’m optimistic things will get better”. I am 19months out from surgery, and am still battling the nausea and vomiting 24/7. I basically live off of protein shakes and a few puréed foods. They insist the issues aren’t bariatric related, but refuse to release me from care stating they do not feel there are issues. Therefore I can not be seen by another bariatric specialist because of liability issues. I do not suggest using Dr. Perna and his team for any gastric bypass procedures. They are great in the beginning but after surgery if there are any complications they do not show care or concern for

Don’t bother to take your kid with a broken leg here, their sense of urgency is beyond unbelievable. If I could put “0” stars I would to this place, it is ridiculous.
