Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant

Today marks the one year anniversary of my arrival here at Medilodge. When I arrived I was lonely and afraid. I didn't know anybody in Michigan. Coming here was a very traumatizing experience for me. For the past year I have dealt with depression. The staff here has been wonderful with helping me deal with my depression. Sometimes I know they have no idea that they've probably saved my life several times. The Medilodge staff have been my doctors, nurses, CNAs, therapists, and most of all, my friends. Thank you all for your caring and loving support. Thank you for helping me get through all of the things I didn't think I could survive. Thank you for being my family when I had none. My wife Joyce was transfer to Medilodge of Mt Pleasant. On Oct 28 2025. She spent 8 weeks at the facility. When she first arrived she could hardly get out of her bed. When she left she could walk with a cane with little to no assistance. The staff were great with her. She had a high level of anxiety upon arriving. They calmed her continuly making it easier for me to leave with no worries. Notably individual were, Chris Moon in the front office who checked in on Joyce daily and helped manage her doctor appointments and transportation. She had interaction with many staff during her stay, would like mention several by name. Joyce especially like Alex, Katie, Nikki. Angie, Jamie, Jim and Katelynn in Therphy. She enjoyed her stay and is thankful for all the help she received. She also

I am a current patient at Medilodge Mount Pleasant MI and it is poorly run and managed. Other patients are allowed a coffee pot in their room but I am not, they have dropped me from their Hoyer device back down and head first from about 5 feet up and was told their was nothing I could do about it. The manager Bobbie said the staff had been retrained but that didn't help with shoulder injuries I suffered. There are many other reasons you should avoid this place at all costs. Also, I have had them ask me to open packages in front of staff, I have had items come up "Missing", I have been rudely treated by some of the staff and I have noticed they get rid of people who care and keep the ones who are only in for the money. This place is a joke. The residents are poorly taken care of. There are bugs everywhere. The staff is horrible and what good ones they have they show no appreciation for. They belittle and mistreat the residence talk poorly about families and deny ever doing so with a fake smile plastered on their face. The food is horrible its just like jail food. The residents do not get bathed like they should. It's a horrible place to send your loved ones. You have been advised.

First time visiting and I was impressed with how clean everything was. The staff was helpful and informative. I especially liked the self check in available. It was easy to do myself and printed out a name tag for me to use during my visit. The patient I visited was in good spirits and was well cared for. She said her rehab after hip surgery was going well also.
