Med One Mount Airy Pharmacy

Switched to Mt Airy med one after they closed our perfect Lisbon med one. For three months I have had difficulty getting rxs filled x4 and not getting calls when they are ready. I had a new pharmacy call to get rxs transferred and mt airy med one wouldn't do it. I have to call the doctor to get the transfer contrary to what it says on their website. I called med one about this and they said technically they could do it but it's easier if I get my doctor to do it. I said easier for them but not for me so they are causing more inconvenience. I would never recommend Med One in Mt Airy and I'm sad because I loved them in Lisbon. Terrible customer service. Terrible experience No stars!

I would give them zero stars if I could. Since their buyout by someone new, it is terrible. We switched this week and took our business to Safeway. We had been going to Med One for several years without a problem. But no more. Can't get prescriptions filled timely. One time the pharmacists didn't even show up to work until after 10am. Even their helpers are rude and terrible. Whoever bought it, should be ashamed.

This used to be a true neighborhood pharmacy where you’d walk in the door, be greeted by name and asked about your family. I agree with other reviewers that, it’s steadily gone downhill since being bought out. It takes a lot for me to initiate a change, because I don’t like change. But, after 5 times contacting this pharmacy (yes, it took that many times) to transfer all of my family’s prescriptions, I’m finally free of that mess. I miss the way it used to be.

I had an insurance change, and the recommended pharmacy was Med One. I was happy that there was one in Mount Airy and not far from me. I checked the recent reviews and saw they weren't good. I give a business the benefit of the doubt, but my experience was similar. First, they don't call you back when they say. I went several days without some pretty important daily medication. They didn't seem to have my doctor's office in their system (and it's a larger Frederick one), and wanted me to complete the doctor's office onboarding. What really bothered me was the lack of customer service and flippant attitude towards customers- all controllable regardless of the process. After a week, I gave up and ended up with a competitor. This is where prescriptions go to die.

Med One Pharmacy used to be amazing but u would never return under the new management. They failed to fill 2/3 of my prescriptions, and flat out lied saying that one was OTC and could be found in any drug store. This experience was horrible and I’d only recommend it to people who don’t care if they ever get their meds on time or accurately filled.
