MD URGENT CARE CLINIC - HIGHLAND

I needed stitches in my finger Monday night. When we got to MD Urgent Care, Dr Atif had gone home for the evening, as it was almost closing time. Connie was there for us in a BIG way, though, exhausting all the options she could think of; phoning the Merrillville office to check availability for us to head there, to have that Dr come to Highland, phoned another nurse, and called Dr Atif. She wasn’t going to give up on us, though we had horrible timing. If it were a restaurant, I would not have expected the hostess to seat us right at closing… MD Urgent Care, Connie, and Dr Atif went above and beyond. I tried to pay a bill and called the number listed on the invoice, only to be routed right back to the urgent care. When I contacted them for clarification, the receptionist was extremely rude and unable to tell me what I even owed. I had to tell her what I owed. She gave me another number to call, but had an attitude when I requested clarity on the number. When I explained I wanted to verify the bill before giving my credit card information over the phone (which is reasonable given today’s scams), I was told, “You can either pay or not pay. I have other patients.” Now she did say I could come in to pay, so I will give her that! However, I currently reside out of town so I couldn’t. I just went here for the first time for my daughter who was having a bad nose bleed and Dr.Atif and the Receptionist were very sweet. I wish I would’ve got her name. The service was so fast and doctor was so caring he asked questions and knew exactly what the problem was and gave us everything we needed before we left. we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. I almost never leave Google reviews but they need to be recognized <3

The front desk attendant and the nurse (blonde) were so amazing! Literally took me 15 min to get meds for my ailment. Best urgent care visit I’ve ever had. Thank you so much!

Connie is 10/10 amazing!! She genuinely listened and helped (rather than some places that will throw whatever medicine at you to get you out the door). She was honest & took time to understand, yet was quick & effective. This will be the only urgent care I go to from now on. Thank you Connie!
