Mary Washington Urgent Care

I have taken my spouse here many times, unfortunately, but each time it has never taken more than 2 hours from check-in to being discharged. If you have visited here before then you don’t need to speak to a receptionist. Just fill out the iPad and have a seat until your name is called. If you don’t have a profile, you will need to fill out paperwork with a receptionist. There have been no more than 2 people in the waiting area every time we have come. Very quick process and the staff is very helpful!

I urgently wanted to get my 5 year old checked due to continuous vomiting lasting for an hour & half with no tolerance to hold anything down. The receptionist Tracee Mcdonald was very quick in checking us in. Literally only waited 10 mins max. On our way out she was so caring for my little one to the point she gave him stickers & packaged coloring paper! Then the nurse practitioner Dr.Amanda Morris was so caring & knowledgeable into taking the proper diagnosis for my son. Even for a split second I panicked he couldn’t hold medication down she reassured me with the proper care. When needing urgent medical care, give them a shot! 😊

Right now, I'm getting treatment here, and I have to say, the reviews almost pushed me to look for another place. Thankfully, I chose to give them a shot. I'm being treated by Physician Assistant Evan and his medical assistant, Maddie. I really value a provider who asks questions and takes the time to thoroughly figure out the best way to help me. I'm not after any hand holding or a spa/concierge like vibe; I just want to get my health back on track, and that's exactly what they concentrated on. They got right to the point. I was told the wait would be 29 minutes, but I was called back in under a minute and seen within 5. Maybe it was just my luck, but either way, I’d gladly return. The PA Evan refused to treat me. I had shortness of breath and needed an inhaler but he refused to see me or prescribe it for me. Implied I should go to ER or primary care. I don’t know why they have medical professionals staffed here when they can’t prescribe medications especially for serious issues. I had to go to ER and wait 3 hours there. Can’t wait until Inova makes a presence down here. All Mary Washington facilities are horrible.

I’ve been to this location 3 times and each time has been great. They offered my daughter a popsicle or sucker each time. I’ve never waited more than 30 minutes to be taken back and the same can be said about waiting for the Dr or PA. They had a sign saying minimum wait was 2 hours and it wasn’t the case for me. The woman who checked us in the most recent time wasn’t overly enthusiastic but I don’t think you need to be.
