Martin Health Physician Group Urgent Care

Failed to process VA correctly for a simple Urgent Care visit (never had a problem at Helix down the road, only went here because a primary doctor in Cleveland Clinic was already treating me and stated go here if I need a urgent follow up). They then tried billing my private insurance BCBS and said BCBS stated they are out of network and won’t pay. Year later I get a $450 dollar bill and find all this out. VA said they are covered but the facility billed them several months after visit and by then was outside the VA billing window. BCBS does show them as a preferred provider which I already knew as my entire family uses Martin Health/Cleveland Clinic for most of their healthcare needs. They need to retrain their staff or find some type of fix to their on going mistakes. Do not recommend.

Went in for a simple visit. Spent 15 minutes to then received a bill for $400 claiming its an out of network urgent care unrelated to Cleveland Clinic. They billed through an inactive NPI # and so they are trying to make me pay the bill. In other words, if you have Florida Blue.... This is not in network and avoid this place.

This was my preferred urgent care clinic until today. When I arrived today, although the place was empty, the receptionist encouraged me to go to the one in Palm City, which is closer to my home and literally half the price. I asked her, in these words, "If I go there now, can I be seen for half the price?" She said yes. They were closed on Wednesdays but otherwise open. Of course, I was grateful. I left and went to the Palm City clinic as I was told. They were CLOSED FOR LUNCH and would not be open for 90 minutes. How can you give such bad information? I would have much rather paid the money to be seen in the URGENT clinic. This now creates problems in my workday. In your effort to help me, you messed up my day and delayed my healthcare because you did not have the correct information.

If you’re a Veteran use your urgent care benefits elsewhere. They screwed up the referral number which has caused a recurring bill the last for the last 6 months. They also gave me a misdiagnosis so I ended up at va ER anyways a week after my visit.

Total waste of time. They don’t take accountability for the mishandling of tests done at their facility and blame patients for not going to a specialist for a time-sensitive manner. Completely asinine. They take your money, act annoyed they have to help you then don’t care whether or not the results are found. They (including the doctor) said quest messed up but that I shouldn’t have gone to them in the first place because the test they advertise that they offer is not actually a common test that they do). They wasted over an hour of my time to get the test that is completely void now and told me to go somewhere else to get it done again and that they did their job to the best of their ability. Note to provider: if you don’t know how to do a test DON’T OFFER IT AS A SERVICE.
