Manokin Manor

This place is disgustingly inhumane. You may as well take your elders to prison than Manokin Manor.

Manokin Manor is a great health care facility. My mother (95 years old) recently became a resident there while recovering from an injury and I can’t say enough about how pleased we are with the care she is receiving. The administrative staff and visiting doctors are very caring and attentive. She receives personal hygiene care regular daily, the facility is kept clean, and the temperature is always comfortable. The quality of the food is excellent for my mother’s special dietary needs. The rehab exercises she is receiving are helping with her recovery. We sincerely appreciate and thankful to entire staff. I highly recommend Manokin Manor. Note: Little more communication and coordination between floor staff can make this facility better.

It’s nearly impossible to get someone to call you back about any concerns. I have been calling regularly about my father for close to a month with no call back. I live in a different state so I drove to Princess Anne hoping to get information and no one was there. How can you run a facility with no administrative there. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I have now been forced to contact the Ombudsman. I’m hoping that will help.

It has been an extreme pleasure to work with the staff, financial office, admissions, physical therapy and administration, at Manokin. They have all been so warm and welcoming as well as professional! There have been so many kindnesses shown to my mom and family by employees that I cannot begin to list all the names for fear I might miss one. The comfort and safety of all their residents is very important to them. They have good safety practices in place for Covid. I visited other facilities but they were lacking the warmth and care we found at Manokin. It was the family atmosphere and the immediate comfort our mom felt when visiting another relative living there that convinced us this was the right place for her. I have been a patient at this nursing home and compared to other nursing facilities they are great. The reason I am not there anymore is that I got real sick 🤕 and had GAO to Sinai hospital I Baltimore and was there for 52 days and then was transferred to a short term facility to await major surgery on 8/2. and then go back to the facility after my surgery to make a short recovery time. Then hopefully return to Manokin. I really miss my friends, because at Manokin we are just one big family whom I miss terribly. Compared to where I am at now Manokin is heaven. If everything works out I hope to return back to my home sweet home at Manokin
