Lynchburg General Hospital: School of Nursing

If you have to be at the hospital all day this one is a good one.

Having a great experience here at the hospital. ER was very well managed. Parking was ok. Always got a spot in the ER lot. Parking for the general hospital was a little more of a challenge. But did find one each day. In the hospital there were very friendly folks to get you to where you need to go. My mother was the patient and she had very attentive nurses and techs. Very good place to be when you need medical attention.

An excellent hospital for the size of our city and surrounding areas. I have been in this hospital regularly making pastoral visit for over 35 years. I've seen the great, good, not so good and ugly. No hospital is perfect but I have seen this hospital's growth in both personal care and facilities over the long haul. I've seen the commitment to continual improvement. My own family has had to use this hospital for the minor to the major - from simply tests to major open heart surgery. And over all I give them high marks. They struggled much during COVID, as did the rest of the nation. I don't agree with everything they did during that time. This place is a joke. My daughter went to another E.R. that ran some tests and hinted of what the possible cause of her symptoms could be. As the symptoms did not improve she went to LGH as it is closer to home, they never bothered running even one test. They looked at what the previous E.R. tested and told her it was normal body changes, this makes me absolutely sick....we took her to UVA where they confirmed what the first E.R. said was a possibility...M.S. Now don't get me wrong I know anyone can make a mistake...but LGH never attempted a single test..and her symptoms were severe...it makes me physically sick to think they basically pushed her out the door without a second thought. Something needs to change, I feel sorry for the people that can't get to another hospital and rely on this

I was just visiting a friend this time. But I've been a patient many many times myself. Open heart surgery 2014, many Stent placements, and other things dialysis related. I really like this hospital.
