There is a reason a community institution becomes a community institution. First, they were great help to me in replacing my shoes lost in the Eaton Madness. They had my purchase record from years before and I could order the exact same pair of shoes that I loved. Second, they were of great help in dealing with the manufacturer with a pair of shoes I had problems with. I can't see this happening at a corporate owned store or website. I am a loyal customer forever! Thank you, Luchas!!

Took my 89yo grandmother to buy some shoes and had a great experience. The staff were attentive and helpful. There was a great selection. The store itself is so pretty and well laid out. She left with two pairs!

Friendly staff, just want to give you a word of caution. A few months back, purchased a pair of dress shoes, mind you they were costly. After wearing a few times, the rubber sole is shredding (see pictures). Careful buying NAOT brand. Comfort is great, only issue is poor quality rubber sole.

I have been purchasing my shoes here for about 30 years, and don't buy shoes anywhere else. They actually know how to fit shoes - and some of their employees, like Cesar, have been working there for 20+ years. It is also much easier for me to shop at a small local store. I know the shoes will fit when I buy them. They also have socks and shoehorns, and a very good selection of San Diego Hat Company hats, as well as other hats, and Baggalini backpacks and purses, as well as beautiful leather purses which you won't find anywhere else. Come soon and plan to spend at least an hour. You will be happy about the service, and hopefully go home with new shoes.

This is the first review I have written but believe that it is necessary because I feel that the service I received was so horrible. My husband bought me shoes for my birthday and gifted them to me on Friday the 21st. I came in to exchange them on the 23rd and was treated very poorly. The manager accused me of them being worn. The only time I put them on was Friday night on the rug when I tried them on. I never wore them around the house or out: The person who sold them to my husband in March (Luis) had written on the receipt that I had until the end of April to exchange them since my husband was hiding them to surprise me for my birthday.
