Lodge Nursing & Rehab Center

My 86-year-old father was here for two weeks after a hip replacement and we had a wonderful experience. Most notable was the dedication of the team, from the nurses and doctors, to the PTs, front desk staff, and facility maintenance. We found everyone to be attentive, thorough, and kind. Numerous staff members commented to us that they had worked elsewhere, but that the Lodge was their favorite because the emphasis was truly on the patient. Highly recommend.

My husband was there for physical therapy and Peyton and her assistant’s were excellent and had him walking within 2 wks. On the other hand, the nursing care had no apathy for their patients. The weekends and nighttime’s were poorly managed.Had to ask for bath towels and cloths, bed changes etc. When inquired about his meds they said “ I just do what I’m told”. Food left a lot to be desired. Would not recommend going here.

While we were very pleased with the Assisted Living building, the nursing home and rehab building left us very frustrated and disappointed. Mom was there for about 9 months before we moved her to another facility. The nursing home is VERY understaffed therefore the care was minimal. I would find medication on the floor that mom was supposed to have taken; response times after pressing the call button could be 30-60 minutes, if ever. Briefs were not changed often leading to many UTI's. The food, while it usually smelled good, was never hot enough and the frozen desserts were always melted. We did meet several times to address these issues and while we were assured of changes, they never happened. I would not recommend this facility.

Was so greatful they took carpet out! It was gross.they now need proper ventalation in halls and expelly rooms! The smell is so bad ! My moms window was nailed shut I about got sick couldn't breath it was so bad! No fans no air.you need roof ventaltion bad! And I know the money that's taken from people you can easily afford it. You wouldn't like it if you were stuck in a roo with someone else you don't know pooping everywhere and forced to breath it.decusting!

My mom has been at another location twice for skilled nursing and rehab. This is now her second stay at The Lodge. The difference oulsnt be more stark. The fact that much of the staff has been there for more than a year speaks volumes about the leadership and the health of the organization. Her care has been outstanding with the PT, OT and speech therapy she has received. Like any other facility, the staff is stretched with the number of residents needing care, but they are cheerful and helpful. My one complaint is the food, and the amount of times mom doesn’t get what she ordered or there is a lack of resource help to ensure she can eat her meal (post-stroke).
