Unfortunately I’ve been to a lot of dentists and have had many root canals. My experience with Dr. Marcum has been amazing! It can be a traumatic experience with some dentists, but not with Dr Marcum!! His whole process from beginning to end is masterful! Best ever, Highly recommend!

Dr. Marcum and his staff were great. I have a lot of anxiety when I have to have my teeth worked on and having to have my first root canal was making me feel very uneasy. I was able to get an appointment within two days and the procedure was equally efficient. They did a great job thoroughly explaining and answering any and all questions I had. I was worried it would hurt a lot, but as they said, it was just like having a regular filling done but it took longer. Took my antibiotics and ibuprofen regularly and I’m healing nicely—taking a little longer to recover than a regular filling but it was a lot more intense of a procedure. Would highly recommend Dr. Marcum and his staff for professional and wonderful work.

I was referred to Dr. Marcum's office by my dentist Dr. Copp's office. I have an extremely traumatic past with a past dentist. I now have a lot of phobia about getting my teeth worked on. Dr. Marcum's staff was super helpful in scheduling and letting me know what to expect ahead of time. I appreciated getting the cost and the payment info ahead of time explained to me. During the root canal, I didn't feel pain. After I experienced some discomfort. That went away quickly. I am super grateful to have experienced his talented work after having such excruciatingly painful experiences in the past. I would recommend him highly to those looking to get work on their teeth done in SLO.

I was in horrible pain and the next day the office took me in and did a root canal that day and the following day. I had to have two done. He was very gentle and I was as comfortable as possible. I just wish that insurance would cover root canals :). But would highly recommend Marcum.

I went to my dentist for a routine cleaning and found out I would probably need a root canal. I was referred to Dr. Marcum and can't be happier! I was able to be screened right away and my root canal was scheduled promptly. Dr. Marcum and his staff are wonderful and I felt at ease with the procedure. If you need a root canal I highly recommend Dr. Marcum!!
