I wish I could leave two separate reviews because I feel like both of the practitioners I've been seeing deserve their own spotlight! I'll start with Sandy: I started seeing Sandy in January of 2025 after having severe symptoms of TMJD. I was having headaches, facial tingling, blurry vision, difficulty chewing and swallowing and constantly felt like I had a huge lump in my throat. I was honestly lost on how to even approach this but my mom had been seeing Sandy previously and suggested I see him. After a few sessions the change was drastic!! He was actually able to get rid of the lump in my throat, reduce the headaches and tingling and truly allowed me to be a functioning human again. I am so grateful I gave SLO Wellness a try after a very disheartening experience at another local chiropractic clinic. From the moment I stepped into SLO Wellness and was greeted by the genuinely warm office staff, I felt immediately at ease. Was not informed that they stopped taking insurance before my appointment!! I had been before and only paid a $15 copay, this time (as an established patient) they charged me over $100!!! I thought the chiropractor was a “nice” guy but is obviously driven by greed. Very disappointing. Will find someone else who takes insurance.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Carlos is an amazing chiropractor, he's seriously got magic hands. He's super attentive to my body's needs, and he is a great listener when it comes to what is bothering me. I'm always smiling when I come out of his office!! Jasmine is the best masseuse when it comes to deep tissue massage. I leave her table completely relaxed. She always makes sure that I'm aware of her techniques she wants to try as we go through the massage and she never surprises me with things I may not like.
