Life Care Center of Grandview

My Mother (C. Bumpus) recently came to this facility for rehab. I must say they were wonderful to her. They took very good care of her. She felt welcomed and heard. The staff stayed professional, nice and tended to her needs, they worked well as a team. She has NEVER liked a facility until she came to Life Care Center of Grandview. We both thank each and every one of those who cared for her. May God Bless You!💛

The nurses are great. They take good care of my grandma. (She can be a handful sometimes.). Also the building was very clean. And smelled decent giving the fact that it’s an elderly are facility.

My grandmother was there for 2 days they cut her phone off wouldn’t help her with her phone. The first day she was there the night nurse and the aid helping the nurse flopped my grandmother over like a fish which hurt her extremely bad, mind everyone she was there for rehab for a broken hip. The second day they changed her at 6am and had not been back into her room to change her at all my mother in law had to go up there after Christmas dinner to change her and when she got there my grandmother had open wounded on her backside with her back side being bright red and raw so we take her out because of how bad they were treating her she was balling her eyes out scared to ask for help to be able to change her. Tonja Lofton is in charge of a place that intercepted my mom's Social Security payments without telling us. Hung up on us and didn't respond to emails about them taking her money. Put paperwork in front of a woman diagnosed with dementia and schizophrenia to sign over her assets. Refused to provide names or contact information for staff members that could describe my mom's condition to a judge so we could get conservatorship. Claimed I was responsible for my mom's bills - which their own lawyer admitted wasn't true. Shady, shady, shady. I invite them to tell me which parts of this are untrue and I will change it. Update: of course they give their typical "Call us" response which is meaningless.

When you decide it is time and it is needed, to place your family member in a home, it’s never an easy decision to make. I did my research and visited MANY facilities. The team at Life Care has delivered on every promise they made to me. Every time I visit, my family tells me they are happy here and that the people treat them well. The lines of communication are open. They treat people with dignity and respect. I beleive they address staffing issues and hold people accountable. My trust has been granted and they have lived up to keeping it.
