Life Care Center of Columbia, South Carolina

They are so nice and attentive! Plenty of staff so I’m not worried about my uncle’s care. They are doing so much more than a previous facility did—it’s night and day. Clean facilities, no urine smell. So glad we found Life Care!

Let me start this review off by saying the receptionist was phenomenal I came on November 28 around 9am in the morning and the receptionist he greeted me with a smile introduced himself to me asked me was there anything I needed even leaving The facility he was very attentive that alone just brighten my day just walking through the door. The place smelled clean and refreshed. The rooms are a nice size I went to visit My Cousin and his room was very well put together clean and organized and I must say I’m very impressed. I work in The medical field and this is by far one of the cleanest best smelling nursing homes. I’ve been in.

My mom transitioned from the hospital to Life Care for rehab and so far this place has been so nice! Everyone is super friendly, the rooms are nice, they have an ice cream parlor and a hair salon for the patients! We’ve had bad experiences in the past at other rehab and this place is night and day and I feel confident they are going to take good care of my mom!

I definitely would not recommend this skilled nursing rehab center for your loved ones. You have 1-2 good aides. The nurses are incompetent. The DON does not set an example for her staff. There is no follow through on complaints or care from the DON. The unit managers should be more knowledgeable to run a unit. My twin sister needed turned and frequently they refused. Her husband had to stay late or overnight to make sure that she was turned and cleaned. I was helping to turn my sister and clean her up. I asked the aide to assist me and I needed wash cloths or wipes. They were out of wipes, clean towels and washcloths from the laundry. The aide brought me in pillowcases to clean her up. I had my sister turned to the side to finish cleaning her and the aide said that he would be right back.

Respectfully, The staff and overall environment is very loving and comforting. Their dedication and compassion is authentic and not just hob mobbing. They exhibit real care and concerns for those that they are duty bound with the responsibility of attending to. I don't would recommend this facility and its staff to all that may have a need of their services that they provide. You can be assured that your loved ones will be attended to with Love, Dedication and professionalism. Facilities likes this are truly rare in society these days where many( not all) are only concerned with a PAYCHECK These individuals actually care. I extend much Love, Honor, and Respect to you all for the outstanding work that you do. Know that you are definitely APPRECIATED!!! LOVE AND PEACE
