I went in recently for a sore throat - the PA did a Strep swab that seemed not far enough into my throat - I said the pain was further back, but they said it would catch the Strep bacteria if it was there. I was offered the rapid test for $35 out of pocket, or could send it to a lab and I would "hopefully get the results tomorrow". I sent it to the lab but two days later the pain hadn't resolved and I hadn't gotten the lab results so I went to urgent care (it was a weekend) and they performed a rapid Strep test where they swabbed much further back in my throat, and it came back positive. They immediately put me on antibiotics but they tested my family and by that point two of my children had caught Strep. The next day, 4 days after the swab at Dr. Licht's, the results came in showing that
