Dr. Lecours was my childhood physician. I was with her from a young age throughout my teenage years and it was disastrous for my health. I wish we had realized sooner how rigid, outdated, close minded, and one-size-fits-all her approach to care is. She pressured my mother to give me a vaccine (age 12) that we were purposely delaying a bit since I didn't imminently need it and also didn't feel well that day. She acted as if my mother was problematic simply because we wanted to delay it to when I felt better. But not only did she act as if she was problematic, but seemed to alluded as if she wanted to report her to child protective services or something. It made us both very uncomfortable and I still remember it to this day because we aren't against vaccinating at all, I was simply sick

I don't normally write negative reviews, but this one is well deserved. I went to Dr. Lecours throughout my childhood and am still suffering the consequences of her actions. Instead of listening to my symptom complaints as a child, she constantly dismissed me as simply having anxiety. Whenever I came back with the same complaint, or with new and worsening symptoms she acted irritated towards my mother for bringing me in once again. Dr. Lecours consistently gaslighted my symptoms and claimed I simply have anxiety. While medical gaslighting of women is more well-known and exposed nowadays, you wouldn't expect a physician to gaslight a child ... You deserve it!! My son and I were treated with respect and care. Never made us feel rushed or like we shouldn't have come... you were always a delight!!
