Updated: Third update: Do not send your loved ones here. They discharged us to the hospital for a test with no intention for us to return. They dumped my husband at hospital and lied saying we would return. For the next month my husband got sicker and ended up in ICU. Over all my husband spent 13 months in hospitals and rehabs and his deteriorating started here. Bed sores, wrong medications given. They we’re basically just dosing him with medication to keep him sedated. While not providing any type of physical , speech or occupational therapy allowing his body to further deteriorate. No real effort was put in to getting him better. The staff is unprofessional and the bottom of the barrel. In April 2025, my mother was transferred from Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville to Landmark Hospitals (a long-term acute care facility). It was the worst decision we could have made. Her health declined rapidly while under their care. This facility is dangerously understaffed. While a few nurses were kind and attentive, far too many were neglectful and unprofessional. It felt like they were willing to hire just about anyone. The doctors rarely communicated with us and never included us in rounds. We constantly had to chase updates about her condition. My mother began having seizures — something she had never experienced before. For two weeks, we begged for her to be transferred out to receive a CT scan and MRI. They refused. Landmark (LTAC) - This place is a straight JOKE!!!! The nurses & techs think they can talk & treat their patients any kind of way, and so much more! Update: I spoke with the CEO and some of the heads of care here and we discussed a lot of things. She acknowledged the need to improve communications here and I hope they're able to do that. I appreciated how thorough they were in explaining how and why things were done, and cleared up a few things that weren't well-communicated by staff. Do I agree with everything that was said and done during her time here? No. But I do believe the staff and heads of staff are trying their absolute best to care for people. _______________________________________________________________ I can't do anything about this other than leave a review to warn others.
