I’ve had two experiences with this vet. On the first I was encouraged to have some of my cats teeth removed. On the day of the procedure Dr King sent me to a veterinary dentist as if he were looking in my cats mouth for the first time. He had previously told me that he had removed ALL of his owns cats teeth and the cat was perfectly fine. My cat was not after removing approx 6. The dental practice sent me back to Dr King for aftercare which resulted in three days of hospitalized aftercare because she could not eat, drink or sleep. Last Monday I took my cat in for yearly blood tests because she had vomited four times in the prior week. She vomited clear bile but had a hearty appetite and drank water well. Dr King did blood tests, X-ray and told me she has mild kidney issues based on those

I cannot find enough excellent descriptive words to describe Dr King and his fine staff at Lakewood Animal Hospital. We have been using his services for over 10 yrs now. Dr King is a truly kind, compassionate person and genuinely cares about every pet in his care. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the best treatment is given and their owners are well-informed. Dr King has frequently called us after hours (even on a Friday night) to discuss our dogs treatment. Everyone at his office are patient, wonderful and friendly- every time. I am so thankful to have found them and can confidently/absolutely recommend his hospital to anyone in need of premium quality veterinary services. Thank you Dr King!

The entire staff was friendly and incredibly willing to help. Constantly made room in their schedule and helped me troubleshoot when we needed to adjust the plan for my dog. Excellent place!

I personally have worked with Dr. King in my own work environment. His kindness and how passionate he is about his job is what made me remember him and felt this was the best place to bring my animal to. I greatly appreciate Dr. King for being very kind, caring and making the process stressfree as possible and be very straightforward. I called in, was able to get in same day. My cat was not using his front legs but, showed ZERO pain. Dr.King felt confident that my cat has a liver shunt, which can cause various issues. When it came to cost. They lay out the MAIN priorities based on their condition and costs. Which helps you as the owner know what to prioritize. Kalie the receptionist, kept me posted on test results etc and was very responsive when it came to needing Dr.Kings opinion and

I would really like to thank Dr. King and the team at Lakewood Animal Hospital for everything they've done for Barbara this week. Because of the truly thoughtful, thorough and compassionate care she's received, Barbara will hopefully be making a full recovery soon. Every time I take an animal to Lakewood, I've had a terrific experience, whether it's for a routine check up, or something more serious like we had to deal with like this week. No matter what the appointment is scheduled for, I always have a peace of mind knowing my critters will be getting treated by people who are not only super knowledgeable but have an obvious love and dedication to animals.
