This was my childhood dentist and I never really appreciated how good he is until I went some where else as an adult and they tried to tell me I have 7 cavities (they didn’t even take X-rays). I didn’t go back to that place and instead followed up again with Dr. Koenen who took X-rays and objectively told me I have to keep an eye on one spot but otherwise everything else looks fine. I now only go to him and pay out of pocket if I have to just for my peace of mind. 10/10 recommend. He’s professional, experienced, objective, only does what needs to be done, and all around excellent at his job. His office staff is also top notch. They explain the complicated insurance benefits, help figure out what the insurance would cover and give me an accurate estimate of what I will likely pay out of poc

I recently moved into the Danville area and was looking for a dentist. I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Koenen from my orthodontist. For as long as I can remember the dentist has usually started with me having an anxiety attack and ended usually in tears. I was nervous going into my first appointment but Dr. Koenen made me so comfortable. He answered any and all of my questions. I had to have a couple fillings taken care of and he walked through every step of what work he was doing, when he was switching instrument, and made sure I was doing okay the hole time. I truly cannot thank him and his office staff enough for being so kind and professional. I can honestly say I am no longer nervous or anxious to go to the dentist anymore because of Dr. Koenen.

I have been going to Dr. Koenen for dental care for over 10 years. Dr. Koenen makes you feel comfortable, explains all that he does, and answers all your questions. His staff are genuine and so friendly. I am so thankful for Dr. Koenen! I don’t think my family will ever find a better dentist! Thanks Dr. Koenen!

I don't like going to a dentist! Who does, LOL :) However, after all the years going to Dr Koenen, I feel great about it, and have absolutely nothing negative to say about my experiences. Would absolutely, and already have recommended him to friends and family!

I have had several root canals that require a crown done by another dentist and today I had a crown done by Dr Koenen. I notice a big difference in the quality of procedure he did. The crown fits nicely tucked into my gums wheres I can feel where the others stop right at the gum line.
