La Colonia Medical Center - Little Havana

My mother was just diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma. First the “doctor” sent her to the wrong doctor. Then they finally sent her to the correct doctor to treat this and the surgeon is requesting a specific scan. A referral is needed but they won’t give it because they can also do that scan …. So why didn’t they do that in the first place. Again this is an urgent case and although my mom has been a patient for over 9 years I think this is too much. The word cancer is already hard to heat but to make it worse it’s all politics. Please go somewhere else. I hate that at the time when my mom needs real care they’re doing things wrong and not caring.

This place is horrible, no customer service skills and the pharmacy is a joke. Do yourselves or your parents a favor and pick another one of the many clinics in Miami It’s funny that I get that type of response, every time I asked to speak to the clinic director manager. They were never available, and never return my calls. Your customer service in all your clinics is horrible, and your administration should all be fired. I will be taking my mom to another clinic.

Unfortunately the excellent medical care my mother receives at your center it's affected with the poor services with the transportation . the wait times for picking up my mother have increased to almost three hours. During this time, inside the center her phone is dead , no access to internet, text or calls, preventing her from communicating and increasing her anxiety. As a 73-year-old diabetic patient, these lengthy waits without communication are unacceptable. I request a review and improvement of your transportation procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all patients. it's not normal that an elder person waits 3 hrs to be pick up and then. a long travel with too many stops. Transportation service really sucks…… they are delayed very often…..and when you call them to complain, people answering, always give the same excuse……. dealing with very old people customers, it’s a matter of a very high/ good responsibility and organization, and I do not think “laColonia” knows or have that. I already had many different incidents with them for my dad’s service/ attention: Transportation, Pharmacy, Medication…. ….. I have to look for other options for my dad.
