KVH Hospital

Heard the emergency room mental health staff loudly make fun of me and my partner. Staff was rude and cold. Spent 3 hours trapped in the ER here while they were trying to get a hold of my insurance (and wouldn’t tell me what they were doing). Still got a bill for $2000. Took an hour for them to bring me some water.

ER is where my main issue is. When my husband had Covid back in November 2020-Jan 2021 he went to ER, of course he was very sick, my husband asked the ER Doctor if he was going to die, and the ER told him, I doubt you will recover from this. He could of said, we will do everything we can to make sure that doesn't happen. Then the final straw is when they were getting ready to do administer a certain medication into his IV that was on his file he explicitly said he didn't want, and I was there when he told them that. I just happened to walk up to the nurses desk at the right time and saw what they were getting ready to give him. I was able to stop them. Pointed out it was on his records not to give him, and it was. They did not give it to him. I was able to be with him most the time because

I can't thank the hospital staff enough, I had the best experience ever. Everyone was incredible and an extra shout out to my nurses Ney, Daphne, and Monte that all went above and beyond and I am forever grateful to them. They treated me like family and I received the best care ever! The entire staff was absolutely awesome! I am very blessed that I had the best care team to help me through an awful time. God bless them all! (Also huge shout-out to the ER staff, I was there two days in a row and every single member of the team was awesome and helped me figure out issues that were frightening but they didn't give up and then was admitted for days to the surgical floor where I hands down got the best care team possible! I’m glad we have a rural hospital. Many people there were caring. Laying in ER for 2 hours after getting bucked off my horse. No one came to check on me. My red call button was right by the hand with the arm injury. Not helpful. So I verbally called. I was told I get pillows to support my low back twice which was really hurting and they never showed up. I came in with pine needles in my hair and on my back and it wasn’t till the doc came in and told the nurse to clean me up that she did anything. Meanwhile she was laughing and joking with her friends. I’ve never felt less cared for by the primary nurse in my life. Radiology was fabulous phlebotomist was good but put a scotch tape like material on me and the nurse that took out the IV wrapped it so tightly it left marks in my arm. I hope we

Went in to the ER due to a reaction to a new medicine I was on. I was seen quickly, treated with care, got a fantastic student nurse, and the doctor was excellent even treated me for an infection I wasn't aware I had. I would go here again if I had to. Very well done.
