I have worked with Kristen and her team for the past 5+ years as a clinician and have nothing but great things to say about AVC and the therapists here. I can say with confidence that clients receive thoughtful, ethical, and genuinely caring DBT treatment. Kristen as a DBT group leader was very scatterbrained with little recognition of that fact. She would routinely forget what our assignments were and was not very good at giving any metaphors or examples which is very important in DBT. She would start saying something only to trail off and start a new point. When people found things confusing, she would often confuse people more by trying to explain further. She also charged me for a session I did not attend after I left the group, but later helped me reverse the charge. When I said I wanted to leave the group she never responded or even asked me if there was a reason why I was leaving the group.
