Kohn Animal Hospital

I worked with Kohn on behalf of Evanston Animal Shelter where they saw and treated my foster dog Bruiser several times, and ultimately we had to humanely euthanize him here. They were always so great to work with with and very kind & compassionate. I don’t remember the name of the vet who we had at the euthanasia (it was a blur of emotions) but I hope she sees this as I cant thank her enough for her gentle, caring nature and patience with us as we learned about and went through the process. Bruiser was spoiled by them in his last moments, and fell asleep in my lap to cross the rainbow bridge 😭♥️🥹. Not to mention they gifted me his ashes, paw print, a lock of his fur and a kind note with the cremation. My experience here has resulted in me switching my resident dog to be a patient here! Tha

When I was fostering my dog this was the vet the shelter was bringing him to. I love that they work with shelters to help lower costs for that population. When I adopted my pup it was an easy decision to keep them as his vet. Worth the longer drive for us. I have had the best care every time I have an appointment. And when I have any concerns I send an email and they respond same day. I highly recommend Kohn. Also my dog is not dog friendly and they schedule appointments so you are the only one in the waiting room. I have never run into another animal when coming in or out and that helps keep the animals calmer. A wonderful touch to what could be a stressful experience for the animal. 10/10

What a wonderful place! I am visiting from California and my dog had back problems and an ear infection and needed his liver enzymes tested. The staff was so kind and competent and compassionate. My dog was treated as if he were their own! Great follow up and support. He went back for acupuncture and laser light treatment for his back pain. Happy to say my little doggie is doing really well and we will be on our way back to California without a worry! Big shout out to Dr. Mullen and the staff at Kohn Animal Hospital! You are the best!

As the Director of a local animal shelter I work with a number of veterinary practices and Kohn is among the very best. Their standard of care is exceptional and they are kind and compassionate. These privately owned vet practices are getting harder to find as corporate groups become more common. Our community is lucky to have such an amazing team available to us.

I’m very disappointed with Kohn and their staff! This afternoon my mini golden doodle OBI was attacked by a German shepherd coming out of my house and I called Kohn Dr Colleen Mullen and her staff informed me that they didn’t have time to see my injured puppy! What kind of doctor allows her staff to make decisions like that when it’s an emergency! I would think that Kohn hospital (Northbrook) would make time for an emergency, it’s a hospital. This wasn’t a simple sickness it was an attack on a little puppy who needed immediate care! I will request a record transfer and not return Very disappointed in their serve. Y.Davila
