Kindred Hospital South Bay

We have been at Kindred Hospital, Gardena for about a week, and we want to sincerely thank the team for the great care my wife is receiving. A special thank you to Nurse Cybilla, Nurse Janet, Nurse Ann, Nurse Chareese, and CNA Dorothy. Each of them has truly gone above and beyond with their compassion, professionalism, and attentiveness. - Nurse Cybilla’s expertise and kindness have been a great comfort to our family. Have a very close family member at this facility. Clean, friendly professional staff especially the Patient Advocate , Mika, she’s the best. Ask for her and she’s there in the room, no wait unless she’s with another patient., then she comes as soon as she can. Always so warm to all visitors and patients. While some staff at Kindred Hospital South Bay genuinely care, the overall experience is overshadowed by unprofessional behavior from others, including my mother’s assigned case manager, Roslyn, and the Director of Case Management. I was yelled at, mocked, and even threatened with losing visitation rights simply for trying to schedule a meeting and ask reasonable questions. Even lead nurses and other staff can respond disrespectfully to simple questions, and security staff were unnecessarily present while I was calm. This pattern of behavior — taking things personally and treating family members poorly — makes advocating for my loved one stressful and emotionally draining. My mother stayed at Kindred and was taken care by the kindest most humble professional care taker there. Would like to thank Mica for her positivity throughout my mothers recovery everything she is great at her job and would recommend highly! Thank you so much!

My mom spent a month at Kindred South Bay, and I was very hesitant about her being there because of the reviews. Which is why I needed to write this review and express how great her care was. I was more than surprised with the level of care she experienced and the feel of the hospital. My mom specifically wanted to acknowledge the hard work of the following staff at the hospital: Luis (housekeeping), Nurse Ann, CNA Iffy, Patient Advocate Mika, and Nurse Cathy. I also had wonderful experiences with Nurse Manager Candace and COO Micki. I truly appreciate the staff at Kindred South Bay and thank you so much for taking such good care of my mom while she’s been there.
