We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional care and advocacy provided by Onita Mitchell, Patient Advocate at Kindred Hospital in Paramount, Ca, during my dad’s stay. From day one, she went above and beyond to ensure he was treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. Onita is attentive, knowledgeable, and proactive. She communicates clearly and honestly with our family, addressing concerns promptly, and making sure nothing fell through the cracks. Her dedication and genuine care made a stressful time much easier for me (one of his daughters) and our family. My husband is a patient at this hospital we are heading out today for higher level of care with that said BIG thank go out to: Matrice, Cindy and Emily speech therapists, PT/RNA; Lexi, Mark, Rigo and Karen. Nursing; Rachel my guardian angel, Nyu, Daniel charge nurse. CNAs; Sophia, Jimmy and Diana. RT; Danny, Steve and Todd. Thank you Onita for always listening and helping. Although there were a few issues the managers for the most part did stop and listen and handle things. The doctors we worked with Dr. Kamel and Dr. Hajazen could’ve been way better communicative.

There are no words that can explain gratitude for the kindness, professionalism, and warmth for Onita Mitchell, the patient advocate at Kindred Hospital in Paramount. I must admit we very apprehensive, the first few days. When we voice our concerns to Ms. Mitchell, she immidiately puts them at ease. Onita is frequently checking in on me and my family during each visit, making sure we are comfortable and have everything we need. Her compassion and dedication have continued to go above and beyond.

I wanna compliment you on your staff services I received from the PT the two female workers and Occupational therapy Workers who provide services for me to rehabilitate also also Jose RN and Maria from the kitchen to get my food situated Also, the nurses that helped me each evening I wanna compliment them on their service and I wanna let you know of what they did for me. If you love someone, do NOT send them to Kindred Hospital Paramount. My father (80 years old, a veteran with PTSD and complex medical needs) was placed here for barely a week and a half, and it was the worst patient care experience I have ever witnessed. Communication was nonexistent. No one contacted me when he arrived because staff wrongly assumed he had no insurance—yet they immediately called when they needed reassurance they’d be reimbursed. That was the only proactive communication this facility initiated. His medical history was missing for days. Because they didn’t bother to obtain prior records, he went almost a full week without necessary kidney dialysis until I personally told them he needed it.
