KidMed Pediatric Urgent Care - West End (Short Pump)

Great job with handling the care of our 9 month newborn son! The facility has an amazing option to easily schedule appointments the same day online before the clinic opens which was super helpful for our newborn who needed to be seen the same day for a potential sick visit. The staff members all were professional in appearance (with medical badges, scrubs were clean and actually adhered to all universal hygiene protocols). Mary (Patient Care Tech)and Laura (The Nurse Practitioner) were directly responsible with my our newborn son’s visit! These two should be given high praises not just because they truly embody Family Centered Care, but because they were genuinely compassionate, and competent! Everyone was very professional and kind from beginning to end. I had three of my children with me and all three were treated with kindness and respect, even given popsicles for good behavior. The nurse really helped to keep all three in a positive spirit as we were there New Year's Eve and went out of their way to print information for an unrelated issue. The doctor was wonderful and helped my baby get in and out as quickly as possible in order to get her meds before everything closed. I will absolutely be back if needed for any of my four children.

We have used KidMed urgent care at short pump Va aeverwl times for our two kids and very happy with the services offered. They do a great job diagnosing the problem and taking the necessary action. Walk ins are allowed and check in in a breeze. Waiting area is kids friendly. Even though you get a variety of providers, they discuss and provide the initial treatment and bring relief.

KidMed is the best. Thankfully I can count on one hand the number of times we’ve need to pay KidMed a visit. Each time the staff and practitioners have been kind, helpful, and effective. It’s so great to have an urgent care center that caters to families.

I don’t write a lot of reviews and like to keep things positive, but I also believe it’s important for parents in stressful situations to know what may await them so they can make a better choice for moments of sickness and uncertainty. I’ve had average experiences here before when my kids’ doctor was not available or on weekends/nights. It’s always taken a long time, but they were last-minute walk-ins, so it’s been understandable. We had an appointment today at 3:40 and arrived on time. After waiting an hour, the receptionist called our name after she received a phone call (I’m guessing from the nurses in the back) asking the room if we were here. I had already checked in and paid the co-pay an hour before. They were all confused, and told me it looked like someone in the back had “disc
