Key Neurology

I had been seeing another neurologist for years. He'd decided there was nothing more he could do for my migraines, which lasted a week every 2 weeks. My insurance company actually sent me to University of Pittsburgh to see their migraine specialist. She had tests she suggested, as well as new med combinations until the new CCRG meds were released. My old neurologist didn't seem receptive to the suggestions so I knew after 10+ years I needed to move on. I forget how I found Dr. Zugahyer, but I have reommended her to friends. I've had doctors ask so they could refer patients. She always listens to what's going on to make sure she's taking care of everything.

Worst experience ever! Zero lack of compassion! I saw this doctor in August, there were supposed to start my authorization for a medication it is now October! When I called my Insurance company for the status!!!! Nothing had been sent in ! Migraines are no joke! When I finally called to see what happened the doctor happened to tell me that it was a miscommunication on their end. Mistakes happen I get it! But that was August! I had to quickly remind her what we discussed at out last meeting, she apologized and said she would call in a medication right away ! Four hrs later and NOTHING!!!! When I called back to see what happened the front desk lady said they were not sure. If you work at a neurology office you should know migraines are no joke! RIDICULOUS NEVER going back again ! This is the best office in Frederick County! I have been a patient of Dr Zughayer's for several years. She and her staff go way above and beyond to see that her patient's needs are met! The office runs flawlessly even if there are issues, communication is always excellent!! I have recommended Dr Zughayer to many, several of my family members are patients and feel the same way!! Thank you, Dr Zughayer and staff, I appreciate all of you and all that you do!!

Dr. Z. Asked for tests IN MARCH and stated she would follow up. She never did. I called, then visited office TODAY because I still had no idea of test results. I understand that the doctor (who apparently went out of the country) may have felt that my results did not warrant an immediate follow up. But, as a patient, I believe that that information should have been conveyed to me in a timely manner. I have now have no confidence that dr. Zughayer is competent to appropriately address my medical needs.

We have been working with Dr. Raya Massoud for about four months now and she has been carefully performing verbal and written memory tests. Since the first meeting she has been very caring as the amount of logic and memory already lost became evident. She has stated that the current medical knowledge cannot cure the disease and that it can slow down the rate of decline. To that end she slowly introduced some medicine and is carefully tracking the memory by giving similar tests.
