My wife, Jackie, was admitted to your care after hip surgery. She remained for 10 days receiving excellent attention and care. It was clear that each individual attending to her took great pride in their tasks. From the doctors, the therapists, the nurses, the aides, the custodians, the clerical management, the food service, there was meticulous attention to detail. Nothing was missed in making sure that my wife was progressing and would be ready to be discharged, feeling better with a solid plan of follow-up appointments, prescriptions, and outpatient therapy. In short, we were very fortunate to experience Kessler! Very, very grateful!! Seriously, l and my wife greatly recommend this institute! The therapists are professionals, proving to be invaluable!
My dad came to Kessler two weeks ago.He was on the 3rd floor from the nurses, aids, physical therapists, doctor cooperman people delivering the food and the staff cleaning hey where amazing! The care my 88 year old father received was impeccable every single one of the staff had compassion for my father just like it was their own family member and that is what you want for your family member all rehabs need to take lessons from Kessler! I would give them 10 stars! We are going to miss the care that they have given my father. I can’t say enough about the people and the facility. The nurses and staff should be commended for the wonderful job that they are doing thank you so much for taking care of my Dad!❤️ Diane Hirkaler-Petty
My husband was in the hospital for 38 days. In ICU for 2 weeks. After this experience he needed intense therapy.....PT and OT. From the minute he was admitted to Kessler, it was all about getting him discharged. He was told he was ready to go home after 5 days. Medicare covers 90 days of rehab stay. The "Case Manager" kept telling us that we could "appeal" the decision. He came home after 8 days. This place is WAY different than we thought it was going to be. The staff was nice but we still DON'T understand why my husband was not given the therapy that he needed so much. VERY disappointed.
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Eileen Y, an occupational therapist at Kessler, and I can honestly say she is the best they have on their team. From start to finish, she went above and beyond to help me obtain my new wheelchair: a process that insurance makes almost impossible. What stood out most was her patience, persistence, and dedication. She never gave up on my case, even when things got complicated or delayed. She stayed proactive every step of the way, constantly keeping me updated, explaining the process clearly, and reassuring me that I would get the equipment I needed — and exactly how I needed it. Her determination and genuine care are what kept me going when I felt discouraged. She treated my situation as if it were her own, and I will forever be grateful for eve
DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!!!! The incompetency here is overwhelming. My 81 year old father who had a stroke was put on Ritalin to keep him awake so he can get therapy. Physical restraints were also used to keep him in bed due to staffing shortages, which is I think to be illegal in any acute rehab facility. I was told there was no such thing as a sub acute rehab facility-by a director- and there are. Staff members are overworked, stress, and truly don't really care about their patients. Everything comes down to money, and how is the facility going to make money.
