The best veterinary practice I have ever visited. They cared for my senior Yorkie, Lexi, for the past 10 years, and in every emergency, I felt complete confidence that she was in deeply compassionate and capable hands. The entire team is kind, attentive, and truly devoted to the animals they treat. They never cut corners, consistently performing every essential diagnostic test to ensure her dental surgeries under anesthesia were handled as safely and successfully as possible. The staff also provides exceptional boarding care—Lexi adored Kevin and clearly felt comfortable and happy in his presence. I have never experienced better animal care than at Kalvig and Shorter. I rescued a very sick kitten with a rare parasite. Not only was Dr. Williams so diligent in her care of him but she is also always available for my panicked calls and emails. When it got to a point with his poor health where I needed to take him to a specialist, she has assisted in advocating for me and facilitating communications when it has been difficult to get in contact with the busy specialist. HIGHLY recommend; I could not ask for a better experience.

I highly recommend this vet! We've been bringing our two cats, Halloween and Snickerdoodle, to this vet for about three years now. These are very anxious cats who don't generally do well with new people, but they are fairly comfortable/at ease when we bring them here, as the staff always make sure to create a soothing, safe, and predictable environment. We've worked with both Dr. Kalvig and Dr. Shorter, and they both remember our cats and their quirks whenever we bring them in. I’ve been bringing my Pomeranian, Luna, to Kalvig and Shorter since she was just a few months old—she just turned 8. Dr. Kalvig has always taken such amazing care of her. She’s extremely thorough, patient, and always takes the time to answer all of my many questions and concerns. I can tell that the entire staff truly loves and cares for every animal that comes through their doors. Kevin and Chris are also amazing.
