Dr Johnston Coleman, he and staff were excellent with care , kidney cancer I had he performed surgery. I went to two other hospitals, very well known, but I did not get the care of that. I got with Dr. Coleman. He explained everything in great detail that I understood. He took time with me. Let me ask questions which I thought was very important. I thank Dr .Coleman for the care he gave me. I do not get the same kind of career up in Philadelphia with the other two hospitals. I I feel doctor Coleman and his staff really do care about their patients. I’d have to say if I had to give them one out of 10 they would have 10 stars. Amazing doctor. Consummate professional. Not only is he extremely proficient in his surgical skills, but he takes the time to answer all your questions in depth. I’m very fortunate that he is taking care of me. He is also one of those rare physicians who also maintains a strong academic interest, with research and lectures, thereby providing his patients with state of the art care. Today I was at Memorial Sloan Kettering meeting with Dr. Jonathan Coleman. It was definitely worth the wait to see him. My situation involved my kidney and as anxious as I was when I walked in, I was equally relieved as I walked out. Dr. Coleman explained what was going on with my kidney in a very thorough way, including illustrations. He suggested further testing as he took a conservative approach to my problem. If you are searching for a thorough doctor and an equally nice human, don’t hesitate to see Dr. Coleman at MSKCC. After substantial research which included meeting with several surgeons, I chose Dr Coleman to perform a partial nephrectomy on me for renal cell carcinoma. The surgery and recovery could not have gone better! I was discharged same day and went on to a full recovery, returning to work after just 4 days. I thank Dr Coleman and his excellent team for their impeccable work.
