No one here knows EXACTLY what their doing. I feel sorry for people who have no background, education, information, inclination about specialty medication, prior authorization prescription processing , and what is really required. Actual reading that needs to take place instead of just pressing enter and send. Of course if Mike is sending the SAME exact document with a Different date a denial is certain. How about ask the necessary questions and document based on patient history. How about hold the insurance co your sending info to accountable. How can a patient having been with the same co for 20 years and this same co has no RECORD of what they’ve paid for??? DOES THAT MAKE SENSE. Oh we sent it. SENT WHAT?? Did you read prior to sending? Did you obtain Whatever the rx co saying is requir

Every six months my doctor sends my prescription to them for "prior authorization" - and every six months they sit on it and do nothing. I have to call again and again and never get my meds on time until they finally "expedite" it - which means that it will be sent to my insurance next week. It takes 2-3 weeks to go from my dr sending to to them to them giving to my pharmacy. Each rep has the most patient voice when they tell me that there is nothing they can do to make this a better system. I wish I never had to talk to them again - but I know that I will be in 6 months and I will once again be late getting my meds because of them.

Jefferson Specialty Pharmacy is the worst pharmacy ever, nobody knows what is going on, they don't ship medications when they promise, they don't call you back and they are holding the patients hostage because of their incompetence. Thank God my medication was not life threatening, however the whole process was very frustrating. I do not recommend this place to anyone, go to a local Pharmacy where you can talk to a real person.
