Jasper Memorial Hospital

First of all this is not for the hospital itself, but for a mammogram my wife was referred to at the hospital. First, before mammogram go to billing. We went to billing. We’re told out of pocket cost if we used our insurance, as well as cost if we self paid. We opted for self pay because it was cheaper. 179.00 for the mammogram. So why 1 star???? Well apparently if you want to have the mammogram read, that’s another 323.00, that we weren’t told about. So, mammogram true cost is just over 500.00 dollars. Oh, and to top it off, if we had waited till this October, we could have gotten a mammogram for FREE. So, if you’re dealing with this hospital and their billing office, ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT THE “TOTAL” COST OF THE SERVICES BEING PROVIDED.

Our experience at Jasper Memorial is always a pleasant one. The staff is always so nice, and we are in and out for our labs and Xrays. Definitely recommend.

It makes me sad by the fact that I live in Monticello and I can’t even go to the emergency room nearby without a nurse not giving a crap about what’s going on and acting like she doesn’t want to be there. You have to go every single day to get a doctors note even though you are ill enough to be out multiple days. They say it’s the doctors policy. It’s bull. I had a bad experience last time I had gone. They blew out my vein Also failing to get my vein at five different attempts. I’ve never had an issue with that, but for some reason they did. This is the worst place to go to, and I do not recommend coming here.

Honestly, pretty bad ER, the people suck, most of them just suck, they complain Directly and Indirectly as well. You will wait a incredible amount of time I waited almost 2 hours or two hours exactly until somebody finally came in a girl With blonde hair, She later told me I got up for this and I don't know if she was sleeping somewhere in the hospital or she came from her house, Probably from her house because how long I went there and keep in mind they were no one there I mean they were only like two cars in the parking lot it was empty inside, I think she was the only actual nurse/doctor there and she was rude as hell this place is not great at all. A great reminder of how how primary urgent care and inpatient services should be rendered. Went to ER and my wife was triaged and in a room in less than 15 seconds. Nurse arrived within 3 minutes and physician within 10. Most important all were kind and caring
